If you are looking for air fryer recipe books, you will be hard pressed to find many! I can only find three, and one of those seems to be an electronic edition only (e.g. for the Kindle). So, if there are any budding authors out there, why not think about producing your own? This appears to be what one enterprising cook has done!
One author was quite quick off the starting blocks when the Tefal Actifry was launched. This author, Paul Brodel, has produced two books which have become popular because of the lack of suitable books and recipes for both the Philips and Tefal air fryers. These are entitled Hot Air Fryer and Hot Air Frying & More. The Kindle book is called The Actifry Cookbook. To be fair, all these books are more aimed at the Actifry given it has been around for longer and there is a desperate need for more for the Philips Air Fryer in particular. However, let’s take a quick look at what is available and if you want to take a closer look at either of them, just follow the links or click on the pictures for more information.

Reviews are mixed, some find the recipes good, and others suggest there should be more recipes. As mentioned previously, this was really written for the Tefal Actifry and as such, some recipes won’t be suitable for the Philips Air Fryer.
If you have a Philips Air Fryer you may find more recipes that you can use in this edition as it attempts to cater for both fryers although the jury may still be out on how successfully this is done. 67 pages covering a range of recipes including, shredded duck for pancake rolls, Thai green curry wings, Mango chicken, Tandoori lamb, boozy cherry pancakes and upside down apple crumble for example.
Both of these books are not “high gloss” type books, but are useful basics for at a low price.
This is a new book, so there is not much information available although it seems to be aimed at those with the Actifry. It is said to have an eclectic mix of recipes but there are a couple of repetitions from the Tefal book. That said, you will find recipes for spiced dishes, currys, vegetarian options (hurrah!) and even one to tell you how to cook a full English in your air fryer. I haven’t actually seen this edition and don’t know how many pages or recipes are included.
This is available in the Kindle version at £4.64, but as with many electronic books (follow the picture link), you may find some spelling and formatting errors although this doesn’t detract from being able to understand what you should be doing!
The Tefal Actifry cookbook is now available in hard copy at £7.57
